The stiffness of the material allows us to design thinner IOL optics while maintaining compression forces. It is optimised for small and micro incision implantation.
The material is a copolymer of hydroxyethyl methacrylate and methyl methacrylate .
The lens has a modified hydrophobic surface. This along with the design results in low to zero PCO. A major benefit of this material is that there is no glistening or cats eye effect, unlike other hydrophobic materials.
