Limitation of Monofocal EDOF

Despite the advancements, studies from the past five years reveal a crucial insight addressing astigmatism is imperative in premium IOL surgeries. Post-operative astigmatism exceeding 0.75D in eyes with EDOF implants has been identified as a key factor in patient dissatisfaction. Any postoperative astigmatism beyond 1.5 diopters, including Surgically Induced Astigmatism (SIA) of 0.5, can lead to suboptimal outcomes.
