Introduction

The first Indian lens combining diffractive trifocal technology with EDOF optics provides a continuous range of vision from distance to near, using diffractive waves on the optics similar to multifocal IOLs.

Energy Efficient - Beyond 92% balanced light

The optical profile of Xtnd has uniform phase apodization by stretching the Super Gaussian profile in a non-symmetrical fashion as a function of radial distance. This optical profile provides more than 92% of light transmission to the retina.

Light Distribution

Designed for all light conditions, Xtnd EDOF Trifocal is designed with a Super Gaussian profile to provide high contrast vision even in low light conditions.

The Xtnd MTF graph shows a wider zone of all three peaks, which provides an excellent EDOF range.

Light Loss

Normally, with conventional trifocal lenses, light loss increases with an increase in effective pupil diameter. However, due to the Super Gaussian Profile, energy loss decreases significantly with an increase in pupil diameter, meaning more light in mesopic and scotopic conditions.

Xtnd

Creating a revolutionary three-phase different focal point with no focal overlapping.

Xtnd Toric

A continuous range of vision IOL with exceptional rotational stability offers all the benefits of a toric trifocal and corrects patients’ astigmatism for high-quality vision.

Toric, the hybrid design offers an opportunity to address both:

Presbyopia – With the synergy effect of toric along with trifocal optics, Xtnd provides high-quality continuous vision over and beyond a full range of distances, starting from 33 cm. This increases spectacle independence even in low light conditions.

Corneal astigmatism: Residual astigmatism is one of the key factors impacting the visual quality of patients after cataract surgery.

Toric is a perfect advanced IOL solution for cataract patients with astigmatism.

General Features

Glistening free IOLs- Optimally Pre-hydrated

With the increase in glistening density, the light scattering increases and MTF decreases. Adtec Lens is optimally pre-hydrated IOLS through equilibrium water content that stabilises the lens, once implanted in the eye, against temperature and environmental changes. The mean value of Adtec Lens using miyate scales is zero, which exhibits high resistance to micro-vacuole formation.

Zero aberration, polish free, Lathes Cut, lens surface

Adtec Lens is manufactured by using high precision machines by Sterling Nanoform X, world’s most advanced ultra-precision CNC lathes, with a cutting accuracy of 0.0001 microns which ensures zero aberration polish-free surfaces. Adtec Lens provides blur-free sharp image quality. These lenses enhance contrast sensitivity along with high resolution and high definition optics.

auto-centration

Characteristics of the haptics and optic-haptic junction (OHJ) of an intraocular lens, affect IOL position in the capsular bag, positional stability, and the development of posterior capsule opacification. Therefore, the haptics and OHJ have a role in determining initial and long-term visual outcomes after cataract surgery.

Double Aspheric IOLs: Thinner with less distortions

Adtec Lens has an excellent aspheric surface on both anterior and posterior sides. The double aspherical design uses two independent aspherical surfaces and provides sharp and comfortable vision even on the edges of the lenses. Double aspherical lenses are proved to offer the highest visual comfort and smallest image distortion, even at higher spherical and cylindrical powers.

The Aberration-Free IOL: Advanced Optical Performance Independent of Patient

In order to improve retinal image quality without compromising the depth of the field or introducing other aberrations, AOS introduced aberration-free double aspheric IOL, provides better optical performance.
